LAHORE, March 6: Two lawmakers from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Dr Farooq Sattar and federal minister Syed Safwanullah, are due to lay a chaddar on the shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh on March 10 to mark the conclusion of the party’s free medical camp at the shrine. The MQM set up the medical camp at the shrine on Tuesday. MQM’s ministers and parliamentarians have been directed by MQM chief Altaf Husain to visit Punjab to organise the MQM in the province.

MQM’s MNA Devdas will visit Gujrat on Wednesday (today), Federal Minister for Communications Shamim Siddiqui Gujranwala on Thursday and Dr Aamer Liaquat Muzaffargarh and Alipur on March 11.

According to MQM’s Punjab Information Secretary Ansar Buttar, the ministers were assigned with the organisational job by Husain who wanted to complete the establishment of the party’s offices by the end of this month.

He told Dawn that MQM’s Punjab organising committee had been converted in zonal committees after the task of setting up district bodies was completed.
