Murderer gets death, fine
RAWALPINDI, March 6: Additional District and Sessions Judge Malik Muhammad Iqbal Tuesday awarded death sentence to a person in a murder case.
The judge awarded death sentence and Rs0.1 million fine on the charge of murder and eight-year imprisonment and Rs10,000 fine on the charge of injuring two other persons who tried to overpower him while fleeing from the spot.
Hukam Din, resident of Mardan, had shot dead Muhammad Ghaffar Abbasi, 46, at Dywal Sharif, Murree Tehsil, on July 5 2005.—A Reporter
