KARACHI: KBA offers free aid to Al-Rasheed Trust

By A Reporter

KARACHI, March 5: The Karachi Bar Association has condemned the government action against Al-Rasheed Trust and offered free legal aid to the trust. KBA General Secretary Naeem Qureshi appreciated the services rendered by the trust for the downtrodden and oppressed people and said the ban would affect thousands of poor persons.

He asked the government to support the local non-governmental organisations instead of international organisations so that they could serve people with zeal and demaded that the trust should be permitted to continue serving the needy people.

It was informed that a seminar would be held on Tuesday at 12.30pm at Shuhdai Punjab Hall of KBA.

The seminar, to be presided over by former chief justice Saeeduzzaman Siddiqi, would be addressed by Justice (R) Nasir Aslam Zahid, lawyers, journalists and rights activists.
