KARACHI, March 5: Five ships carrying containers and to load rice, cement and naphtha are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. A dozen vessels were berthed on the wharves during the last two days. They are; Gallant Wave, Bunga Kenari, Hayley Nadhi, Comoring Pride, and Mol Ability to unload and load containers, Zhong Shan Men, Malakand, and Banga Lanka, to offload and load general cargo, Al-Marwah, Gulf Progress, Johar and Southern Atlas, tankers.
Sailing was also active as 12 ships departed, notable among them being Oel Aishwarya, Bunga Kenari, Gallant Wave, Comorin Pride, Coral, Esttmed Carrier, Maersk Barry, Zhong Shan Men, and Almarwah.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 0.156m tons comprising 31,763 tons of export cargo and 0.124m tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Tuesday; Yu lin Wan, to load 35,000 tons of naphtha, Oel Esteam, APL Shenzhen, with containers, Victoria, to load 4,500 tons of rice and Pacific Arrow, to load 10,000 tons of cement.
