Police arrest 19 Afghan nationals

QUETTA, March 4: Police have arrested at least 19 Afghan nationals from different areas of the city on the charge of living in the country without legal documents.

Quetta city police chief Rao Khan Brohi told Dawn on Sunday that arresting foreigners living without proper documents was a routine matter as it had been going on for several months.

He said that on Saturday night, seven Afghan nationals were arrested. They will be deported to Afghanistan following completion of legal procedures.

CUSTODY: Officials of the Kuchlak and Saddar police stations reported arresting 12 Afghan nationals on Sunday under the Foreigners Act.

Ten of them were arrested by Kuchlak police, and two by Saddar police.
