Drugs sale surveillance system reinvigorated

ISLAMABAD, March 4: The surveillance system of drugs sale and purchase has been reinvigorated to ensure the provision of unadulterated medicines to the countrymen, Drug Controller Federal Ministry of Health Dr Farnaz Malik said here on Sunday.

Talking to a TV channel, she urged the people to immediately inform the ministry about the sales of spurious and counterfeit medicines in their respective areas.

However, people must submit bills along with their complaints as no action is possible against the culprits without solid prove, she added.

Elaborated arrangements have already been made to ensure vigorous punishment to manufacturers and sellers of spurious medicine as it can not be allowed under any circumstances.—APP
