KARACHI, March 4: City Naib Nazim Nasreen Jalil, Jamshed Town Nazim Mohammad Arif and German Consul-General Hans Joachim Kiderilen attended a ceremony to mark the Hindu festival of Holi at the Hanuman Temple, Soldier Bazar.
They participated in the ceremony on the special invitation by Shri Ramnath Mehraj of the Hanuman Temple.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms Jalil said that the Muttahida leaders were doing welfare work without any discrimination and they were also paying attention towards the problems faced by the minorities.
“Atmosphere of peace and unity prevails among people of different walks of life owing to positive policies of the present government'', she added.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Hindu Punchayat Shri Rama Pir Temple Morya Khan Goth, Chhota Gate, Shah Faisal Town organised a function to celebrate Holi on Saturday night.
Town Nazim Mohammad Imran, Naib Nazim Ali Akbar, MPA Nishat Mohammad Zia, Minority Councillor of the MQM Premchand and others attended the function.—PPI
