KARACHI, March 4: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) on Sunday said that the statement of a US general that they had the right to hot pursuit and attacking targets inside Pakistan had not only exposed the Pakistani rulers’ vulnerability but was also threatening to the sovereignty of the country.
In a statement MMA Sindh chief Asadullah Bhutto (MNA) said that the US general while speaking in one of the US Senate Committees had proved that the Pakistani rulers’ tall claims of ‘Pakistan first’ had no meaning.
He said that it was unfortunate that despite being first and only nuclear Islamic country its rulers were afraid and had no courage to stand up against the American demands and despite working as a mercenary in the so called ‘war against terrorism’, the western countries were demanding more.
MINORITY GIRL: Mr Bhutto also condemned the government on its failure to recover a minor girl, Tansha, from Kashmore.
He said that kidnapping incidents had spread feeling of insecurity among the minority communities. He said that the administration rather than recovering the girl was pressing the relatives of the kidnapped girl to keep quiet so that the issue was pushed under the rug.
He said that the law and order situation was bad in the province.
The MMA Sindh chief demanded immediate and safe recovery of the girl so that feelings of insecurity among the minorities could be checked.
MULTAN BLAST: Condemning the Multan bomb blast, he said that it was another proof of government’s lies that law and order had improved.
He demanded that the culprits be arrested, tried and punished immediately.
Mr Bhutto also condemned the government on its failure to stop a tribal feud between Marfani tribes near Shikarpur that had left many dead and injured.
He said that ministers despite a ban on holding jirgas imposed by the superior judiciary were openly holding jirgas to keep the masses under their clutches.
He said that the government instead of arresting the criminals were patronising them.
