AKU throwball in semis stage
KARACHI, March 2: Institute of Business Administration (IBA) recorded a 2-1 victory over Greenwich University (GU) to enter the semi-final of third AKU Inter University Girls throwball tournament here on Thursday at Sports Center Gymnasium.
Yusra Taj and Sadia Wajid excelled as IBA completed a 15-2, 12-15, 15-4 over their opponents to enter the last four stages. IBA will meet JMDC in the semi-final who defeated Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine with scores of 15-5, 15-3.
Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) and hosts Aga Khan University (AKU) confirmed berth in the other semi-final after winning their matches. DUHS overwhelmed Ziauddin Medical University 15-3, 15-4 while AKU crushed L'cole University 15-6, 15-11 in their route to the last four stages.— PPI
