LAHORE, March 1: Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi says five new laws of public interest are being presented for approval in the current session of the provincial assembly.
He said assembly members should actively participate in the process of legislation and solution to people’s problems.
He was addressing a parliamentary party meeting of the PML and its allies at the Chief
Minister’s Secretariat on Thursday.
He said the PML and its allied parties should be ready to face any political challenge, including general elections.
He expressed the hope that his party would achieve a thumping victory in the forthcoming elections.
He said the campaign against the vehicles having tinted glass, blue lights and illegal number plates had been accelerated to improve security arrangements.
Pervaiz Elahi said the government was taking steps to control prices of flour and other edibles, and was giving a subsidy of Rs5 billion in order to provide sasta atta to the masses.—APP
