By Our Staff Reporter

RAWALPINDI, March 1: Ban on posting of police officials in their hometown is likely to affect 206 police officials, including three DSPs of Rawalpindi district.

Police source said that the list of all the police officials posted in Rawalpindi district has been compiled and sent to the Inspector General of Police Punjab.

The three DSPs are Raja Taifoor posted as SDPO Gujar Khan, Nazar Hussain Shah SDPO Kahuta, and Haseeb Shah working as SDPO Kotli Sattian.

On the other hand, most of the affected police officials have reportedly started approaching political and other influential figures to avoid transfer to other districts, the source said.

The affected police officials included 23 inspectors, 51 sub- inspectors, 103 assistant sub-inspectors and 26 constables.

District Police Officer Rawalpindi Saud Aziz confirmed that the lists of all the police officials who have been serving in their hometowns have been sent to Central Police Officer (CPO) Lahore.
