LONDON, Feb 28: Australia pace bowler Stuart Clark has been cleared to play in the World Cup starting in the West Indies next month as a replacement for the injured Brett Lee.

A statement from the International Cricket Council on Wednesday said its technical committee had approved the substitution.

“The committee has since received an application from the Pakistan Cricket Board to replace the injured Abdul Razzaq with fellow all-rounder Azhar Mahmood and that application will be considered in the very near future,” the statement said.—Reuters
