ISLAMABAD, Feb 28: National Assembly members belonging to the Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy on Wednesday submitted an adjournment motion to the Assembly Secretariat, seeking a discussion on the crisis in Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd (ZTBL) after the termination of 1,850 clerical and non-clerical staff.

The bank management says that 700 clerical employees have been removed under the restructuring process being funded by the Asian Development Bank. The bank has provided $225 million for the programme.

The motion has been moved by eight members of the People's Party Parliamentarians and the Pakistan Muslim League-N.
