By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Feb 28: The chief election commissioner has declared Ms Kishwar Sultana of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement as returned candidate for the National Assembly seat from Sindh.

The reserved seat for women had fallen vacant after Ms Shamim Akhtar of the same party tendered her resignation to the speaker last week on party directive.

The chief election commissioner also declared Ms Suraya Naseem of the Pakistan Muslim League as returned candidate for a reserved seat for women in the Punjab Assembly.

The seat had fallen vacant after the murder of Provincial Minister Zulli Huma Usman.
