ISLAMABAD, Feb 28: Federal Directorate of Education Director-General Brig (retired) Maqsoodul Hassan has stressed the need for holding constructive debates and declamation contests to create a competitive environment for the students.

He was speaking at a speech competition titled “Dynamic Earth”, organised by the British Council in collaboration with the English Speaking Union, in Islamabad Model College for Girls, F-7/4, here on Wednesday.

DG Hassan said the government was investing more resources to prepare the students for contemporary and future challenges. Efforts are also being made to equip every individual with quality education and reforms initiated in the education sector would go a long way in this regard, he added.—APP
