LARKANA, Feb 27: Sindh National Front chairman Mumtaz Bhutto said that this was the time for the sons of soil of Sindh to unite under one flag to protect the motherland.

Speaking at a corner meeting in Syed-jo-Goth on the outskirts of Larkana on Tuesday, he said Sindh was braving critical days and deplored that the centre was surviving on Sindh’s revenue but despite that Sindh had been meted out step-motherly treatment.

He said that Sindh’s enemies had not only captured its land but also endangered its very existence. He apprehended that under such conditions, Sindhi nation had reached at the brink of extinction and added that aliens that had captured their resources, land, trade, services and what not were now out to further enslave them.

Stressing the need for burying down hypocrisy and demonstrating unflinching and unstained unity, he said it was the only way to walk on the path of truth and righteousness to foil enemies’ designs. He said the SNF was advocating the policy and that was why he had launched ‘Sindhi Jago Sindh Bachayo’ campaign.

Abdul Latif Bughio, Dr Roshan Paichoho, Irshad Junejo, Sikandar Kalhoro and others also spoke on the occasion.

The notables of the area, Syed Qadir Bakhsh Shah, Syed Ajeeb Shah, Jawed Ahmed Chandio, Qurban Mirani, Ahmed Ali Jhinjhi and others, joined the SNF on the occasion.

RELIEVED: The principal of the Chandka Medical College (CMC) Larkana on Tuesday relieved Dr Abdul Mannan Bhutto, the head of the department of Dermatology on disciplinary grounds.

He said that Dr Muzaffar Shaikh, senior registrar of the department, was asked to take over the charge.

He said that the institute could not afford Dr Bhutto on the faculty for he had not only misbehaved with Professor Surgeon Sher Muhamamd Shaikh but also showed irresponsible attitude during a meeting of the hospital management committee on February 24.

He also attempted to illegally occupy the surgical unit-III by putting a banner of the department of dermatology, the principal said.
