Seven shops gutted in Peshawar

Bureau Report

PESHAWAR, Feb 25: Seven shops and a storeroom were gutted when a fire broke out at Fawara Chowk in Saddar on Sunday.

Fire-brigade personnel brought the blaze under control in two hours. Of the shops gutted, five were of floral wreaths and garlands and two of medicines. Police arrested two brothers, Iltaf and Irshad, who ran one of the flower shops. Witnesses claimed that the brothers had an altercation and in a fit of anger one of them set fire to the shop which engulfed nearby shops.
