KARACHI, Feb 24: Four-year-old dark bay filly Black Girl is tipped to bounce back by winning days honours in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

She was denied to make it two-in-a-row by another filly Sweet Smile who posted a two lengths victory in the last outing. On merit, she is likely to atone to the loss by dominating the six furlong feature event which has a field of 11 runners barring last minute withdrawls.

Among others, Sindh Malook, a four-year-old chestnut colt, may pose serious challenge to Black Girl to be followed by colt Moon Raker.

A card of nine races has been chalked out for the day. The first race begins at 12noon.

Five-year-old bay horse, Jawan Bakht, look certain to come out with flying colours in a pack of 14 contenders in the supporting event. He obliged the punters by galloping to five lengths victory over Kat Mandu last Sunday.

Though there are couple of good horses but Jack In The Box and Kat Mandu enjoys an edge to finish on the board.

If allowed to run on merit, mare Smiling Face should beat the entire opposition by claiming the top division race of class VII. She had to be content with second place after losing to Birj-ul-Arab in a closely fought race earlier this month.

She is likely to be chased by mare Patricia and filly Foolish Pleasure for the places.

Four-year-old bay colt, Lucky Leader, who has proved his mark in the last run after a layoff, is also poised to pick up spoils.

With three successive second positions under her belt, five-year-old mare Meri Paidagiree, should outpace rivals by sprinting to victory this time. Choice Of the Day may bring an element of surprise.

Filly Gul Bano is likely to emerge victorious in the opener while another filly Breaking News should oblige punters in the next race. If kicking, mare Silent Love can pull off an upset.

If tried by connections, filly Make Millions and dark bay horse Qandhar should win the other two races.
