3 held for dismantling railway track

HAFIZABAD, Feb 23: Three suspected saboteurs were arrested on Friday while they were dismantling nuts and bolts of the railway track on the Sem Nullah Bridge near Batairay village on the Faisalabad-Wazirabad railway section. The arrests were made just before the arrival of a Faisalabad-bound train after the police had been tipped off about the suspects’ activity. The police contingent was led by Hafizabad DPO Dr Waqar Abbasi.

The accused were identified as Babar Ali, Aziz Ahmad and Manzoor. They are all from the Sherpura locality in Hafizabad.

The police found two gunny bags full of nuts and bolts and a motorcycle from the possession of the accused.—APP
