LAHORE, Feb 23: A musical night at the Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday night has compelled the Pakistan cricket team management to shift the national training camp for the 2007 World Cup to National Cricket Academy for a day.

A grand musical evening to celebrate the spring festival is being arranged by the PTV in collaboration with the PCB at the stadium. The President of Pakistan Gen. Pervez Musharraf has been invited to grace the occasion with other distinguished dignitaries.

In order to make security arrangements, the security staff has instructed the PCB to hand over the stadium to them on Saturday morning by 10am, whereas the musical programme starts at 7.30pm.

Moreover, in view of the security arrangements, Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq will now address a press conference at the National Cricket Academy on Saturday.

During his stay in Lahore, the president will also inaugurate the PCB's scheme of giving monthly stipend to former Test cricketers. The scheme is being introduced initially for those Test cricketers, who retired before 1978.

The president will honour some top cricketers by giving away the cheques. According to the scheme, those cricketers, who had played ten Tests for Pakistan will get a monthly stipend of Rs 15,000, from 11 to 20 Rs 20,000 and above Rs 25,000/.
