Double crown for Shahzaib
LAHORE, Feb 23: Shahzaib Maqbool of the Beaconhouse School grabbed under-14 and under-16 crowns in the Lahore District Inter-school table tennis championship on Thursday evening.
Shahzaib, who also won the U-20 title on Wednesday, added another feather in his cap when he outplayed Nabeel Aftab of the same school in straight sets (11-8, 11-9) in the U-14 final.
Maintaining the outstanding performance, Shahzaib outclassed Umar Asad of the KIMS 11-9, 11-9 to claim the U-16 title.
A training camp will be held in May in which players of this tournament will hone their skills.
