KARACHI, Feb 23: Daniyal Shah played captain’s role as hosts Habib Public School overwhelmed Clifton Grammar School 42-9 to ensure a berth in last four of the Inter-school sports festival basketball tournament at the former’s gymnasium on Friday.

Daniyal led the team from the front and ended up with highest 18 points to his credit.

The City School PAF Chapter also joined the hosts in the pre-finals when they outplayed another branch of the City School 42-14 with Zia Ali scoring 12 for winners.

Beaconhouse Public School Jubilee Campus and DA SKBZ Public School completed the semi-final line up by chalking up victories.

In yet another one-sided match, Beaconhouse beat the City School North Nazimabad 36-4 while SKBZ got the better of Arts and Science Academy 29-18.

Saturday’s fixtures (semi-finals):

Habib Public School v City School PAF Chapter at 11am; Beacon House School v SKBZ School 12noon.
