Two held with arms


LAHORE, Feb 23: Police claimed on Friday to have arrested two gunrunners and recovered 198 sophisticated weapons and 30,000 bullets from their possession.

Acting on an information that two people were bringing arms in huge quantity, the City SP constituted a special team which arrested Alam Shah and Lala Din in the Lower Mall area and recovered 86 pump actions, 20 Kalashnikovs, 18 rifles, eight Uzis, 66 pistols and 30,000 bullets from their possession. During interrogation, they confessed to supplying arms to criminals as well, the police said. — Staff Reporter
