KARACHI, Feb 23: An illegal fuel outlet dealing in smuggled Iranian petrol was removed during an anti-encroachment drive in Gulshan Town on Friday.

A spokesperson for the town administration said that makeshift outlet was being run in Block 17 of the town to sell fuel at a rate lower than the normal rate.

In addition to the outlet, over 50 encroachments were removed in KDA Ground, UC 6, and cabins, counters, tables, chairs, swings, drums and other such articles had become hurdles in the free movement.

The drive was initiated on the complaints of area people, the spokesperson said.
