By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Feb 23: Sindh Minister for Local Government, Kutchi Abadis and Spatial Development, Muhammad Hussain Khan, has said the provincial local government commission offices should be connected with the local government department via internet to ensure redressal of public grievances effectively.

He was addressing local government support officers at his office during distribution of computers and fax machines on Friday. Terming the provision of computers and fax machines to the officers an important step in their capacity building, he expressed hope that the officers would act as the representatives of provincial government commission in their respective districts.

He said local government commission offices at Taluka level would facilitate the masses for redressal of their complaints. The local government support officers would receive public complaints, he said adding that the government intends to broaden the scope of local government support by assigning the officers the responsibilities of local government commission.

Later, he distributed computers and fax machines amongst participants of the meeting.
