Mehboob Chandio and Wali Chandio who led the protest told journalists that Sanghar police were wrongly insisting that Ali Hassan Chandio was Ali Sher Chandio who was involved in the Mannu Bheel case.

They stressed that their relative Ali Hassan was innocent and demanded he should be released immediately.

They feared police might kill him in a fake encounter.
