HYDERABAD, Feb 21: Scores of growers staged a protest demonstration outside the Hyderabad press club on Wednesday against a federal minister and his MPA brother for allegedly ejecting them from their land.

Talking to journalists, Mushtaq Ali Kalhoro and Syed Hussain Shah alleged that the minister and his brother were bulldozing their lands with the help of local police and threatening them with dire consequences.

They said that they were among the 38 farmers who had been granted 515 acres of land under the katcha land grant policy in 1998 in deh Nara of Mehar taluka. They had paid all the instalments and their record was available with the revenue department, they added.

SPSF-SB: Activists of Sindh People’s Students Federation (Shaheed Bhutto) staged a demonstration outside the press club on Wednesday against the registration of cases against party leaders in Naushahro Feroze.

The party leaders Mohammad Ali Mirjat, Mohammad Moosa Khoso and Faisal Arain termed the cases ‘false’ and said that police were conducting raiding on the houses of Naushahro Feroze SPSF leaders Zafar Khoso, Ashfaq Khoso and Mujahid Khoso.They demanded that the cases against their leaders should be withdrawn.
