Inter-school table tennis

LAHORE, Feb 19: Seventeen matches were decided on the opening day of the Lahore Inter-school Table Tennis tournament at the Chroma Table Tennis Complex on Monday.

Almost 200 players from different schools of the Lahore districts are participating in Under-14, 16 and 20 age group competitions.

Results:

U-14: Hamza Afzal (Beaconhouse) bt Adil Imran (L.G.S) 11-8, 11-6; Rehan Sharif Qazi (L.G.S) bt Muhammad Hamid (Paperdine) 11-1, 11-6; Arsalan Gohar (Musab) bt Danish Mohsin (L.G.S) 11-8, 11-8; Saad Aleem (BH) bt Momin Ali (L.G.S) 11-7, 11-5; Hamza Prevaiz (Paperdine) bt Haroom Sharif Qaiz (L.G.S) 11-8, 11-9.

U-16: Shahziab Maqbool (BH) beat Sharjeel Ali (Paperdine) 11-9, 12-10;Ahsan Iftikhar (City School) beat Anas Tariq (SISAS) 11-9, 11-8; Hamza Saeed (LGS) beat Ahsan Khalid (City) 12-10, 11-8; Shaharyar Khan (BH) beat Mahad Ishtiaq (Bloomfield) 12-10, 11-9.

U- 20: Hanan Bashir (UCL) bt Hamad Imtiaz (SISAS) 11-7, 11-8; Hassan Tahir (BH) bt Zain (LGS) 11-9, 11-7; Zain Afzal (UCL) bt Shamir (Musab) 11-8, 11-9; Zohair (GCuvi) bt Salman Khawar (LGS) 11-9, 11-7; Bilal Hameed (UCL) walk over Haris Khan; Umer Asad (Kims) bt Muhammd Azfar (Nobel Grammer School) 11-6, 11-9;Usman (GCuvi) bt Abraiz bin Abrar (LGS) 11-8, 119; Basil (Kims) bt Mohammad Aqif Javed (SISA).
