ISLAMABAD, Feb 17: Information and Broadcasting Minister Senator Mohammad Ali Durrani said on Saturday that the government had devised a concrete plan to tackle terrorism, according to which tight security would be ensured along the borders and in the cities to check the movement of suspicious elements.

Talking to reporters at the National Volunteer Movement headquarters, Senator Durrani condemned Saturday’s terrorist act in Quetta.

He said the information and evidence collected from the site of the blast suggested that it was a suicide bombing.

Investigations are under way into the attack on the Quetta district courts and the criminals involved in the incident would be brought to justice soon, the minister said.

Responding to a question, Senator Durrani said the chances of involvement of a foreign hand in the terrorist act “could not be ruled out”.—APP
