Dacoit shot dead by accomplices

KASUR, Feb 17: A dacoit was killed while another seriously injured by the firing of their unidentified accomplices during a quarrel over the distribution of looted money here on Saturday in Charagh Shah locality.

Police said two armed dacoits injured shopkeeper Shabbir alias Pappu seriously by a sharp-edged weapon on offering resistance near furniture market when he was going to his house. Later, the accused snatched cash and a cell phone from Muhammad Shafique at Bassarpura who informed the police.

Thereafter, the robbers gathered at Charagh Shah Chowk and quarrelled over the distribution of looted money. Dacoits Asif and Imran of Venika locality were seriously injured by the firing of their accomplices. Asif succumbed to his injuries and Imran was rushed to Lahore in a critical condition. The shopkeeper was admitted to Lahore General Hospital.

LOOTED: Dacoits looted the house of an expatriate here at Qatal Garhi Chowk. Haji Wali Muhammad had returned from Saudi Arabia.
