KARACHI: ANP preparing for election

KARACHI, Feb 17: The Awami National Party will actively participate in the ensuing elections so that the rights of the Pakhtuns residing in the province could be protected.

ANP Sindh chief Shahi Syed, inaugurating the party office in Bhens (Cattle) Colony on Saturday, said that under a conspiracy the rights of the Pakhtuns in the province in general, and in the city in particular, were being violated and unnecessary hurdles were being created when they applied to get the computerised identity cards.

Mr Syed and other leaders – Aman Khan, Noor Ali Bangash, Gul Mohammad Achakzai and others -- said that many a Pakhtun localities had been bulldozed in the midnight operations, many dumpers time and again had been set on fire after accidents, and unnecessary hurdles were created when the Pakhtuns tried to get identity cards and passports.
