Karachi Urban top standings

KARACHI, Feb 16: Karachi Urban scored an easy 143-run victory over Faisalabad to finish on top of Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Gold League standings at the UBL Sports Complex here on Friday.

Karachi Urban’s third win took their tally of points to 33, nine ahead of second-placed Sialkot. Both these teams will clash in the five-day final starting from Feb 19 at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

Resuming at 37 for three in pursuit of target of 313, Faisalabad’s remaining second-innings wickets fell for the addition of 132 runs on the fourth and final day. They eventually finished at 169 all out in 67.5 overs.

Opener Imran Ali scored 53 off 184 balls with five fours and skipper Misbah-ul-Haq made 33. Off-spinner Tahir Khan claimed three for 34 to end up with match figures of seven four 98.
