PESHAWAR, Feb 16: Two children were killed and eight others injured when roof of an embroidery shop caved in at the Gulbahar area here on Friday.

All the killed and injured children were working at the embroidery shop in Mohalla Islamabad in the Gulbahar police station area.

The children killed in the incident were identified as Ikramullah, 9, son of Syed Rehman and Mohammad Umer, 10, son of Mohammad Azeem.

The injured were Haroon, Izat, Naveed, Hussain, Musa, Sajid and Wajid. Shop owner Karim Bakhsh also sustained injuries.

Gulbahar police SHO Fazle Maula Khan told Dawn that the embroidery shop was in a dilapidated condition because of the recent rains.
