LARKANA, Feb 16: Chehlum of renowned writer Anwar Pirzado was observed in Balhreji near Moenjodaro on Friday. An academy was formed on the occasion to publish his unpublished works.
A large number of writers, intellectuals and Mr Pirzado’s friends from all over the country and abroad attended the Chehlum and placed floral wreaths on his grave.
Speaking on the occasion, leftist intellectual Comrade Sobho Gianchandani, writer Badar Abro, Surayya Makhdoom, Mohammad Ali Pathan, Saleem Korai, Manthar Solangi, Manzoor Chandio and others paid tribute to Mr Pirzado.
On the occasion, a book containing his write-ups and titled ‘Mattan Wisaryo’ was launched.
