By Our Correspondent

ABBOTTABAD, Feb 15: Promotion of 114 teachers was approved by the Hazara University Senate on Wednesday.

In a meeting presided over by Vice-Chancellor Dr Ehsan Ali Khan at Dhodial, Research and Planning Director Dr Mukhtar Alim and Prof Shahzad Khan were inducted into the syndicate.

It approved regularisation of services of all the employees of the university.

The vice-chancellor told the meeting that the 2005 earthquake had destroyed most of the university’s infrastructure and reconstruction work was under way on a war footing.

It was told that several donor agencies had provided laboratory and other equipment which would be installed after the construction of new blocks. The provincial government had provided Rs17 million for the construction of Syed Ahmed Shaheed convention centre.
