KARACHI, Feb 15: Special exhibition on Arts and Crafts of Kashmir is under way in the National Museum open daily from 10am to 5pm.

The exhibition includes rare copies of the Holy Quran, transcribed and illuminated in Kashmir. Scientific books, especially on medicine entitled ‘Azhar-al-adwiyah’, in which almost all the flowers, herbs, birds and animals, their details are elaborated and names in Arabic, Persian, Turkish, English, Greek, Sanskrit, Kashmiri and other languages are marked.

The whole book is illustrated with superb paintings. On this occasion the objects made from papeir mache, metal work, woodwork, bookbinding and embroidery are also gracing the exhibition.

The exhibition will remain opened for the public till March 5.
