QUETTA, Feb 14: PML-N Secretary-General Zafar Iqbal Jhagra on Wednesday met veteran Baloch leader Sardar Ataullah Mengal in his native town Wadh and conveyed a message of Main Nawaz Sharif to him regarding the proposed MPC.

Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Mengal said that it was responsibility of Punjab to prepare its people against the government and play a leading role in the campaign for getting rid of the present regime as military dictators were claiming the support of Punjab in prolonging their rule.

“Gen Musharraf is ruling the country by means of force and he had even made army hostage just to prolong his rule,” said Sardar Mengal.

He said that he had no expectation from any government to give rights to the Baloch but assured unconditional support to any movement against the present rulers.

“We are ready for extending unconditional support for getting rid of dictatorship of General Musharraf,” he said.

He said that the People’s Party always came into power with the help of invisible forces and once again it was making efforts for “deal” with the military rulers.

Mr Jhagra underlined the need for uniting all political parties to get rid of present rulers.

“All political parties must evolve a joint strategy with consensus,” he said.

He said that the PML-N believed in formation of democratic government after the removal of present regime that ensures the rule of Constitution and protection of the rights of all small nationalities in the country.
