KARACHI, Feb 13: Jahangir Khan, the 10-time British Open squash champion, was bestowed with ‘International Lifetime Achievement Award’ by Sony Entertainment Television, Asia at an impressive ceremony held in London recently.
Jahangir, who heads the world governing body of the game, was recently chosen among 60 heroes from past six decades (Asian countries) by the prestigious Time Magazine.
The other two Pakistani who got posthumously Time Magazine awards were Father of the Nation Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and noted singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
Jahangir is also the first recipient of World Squash Federation’s ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ which he got last year in addition to numerous awards at home including ‘Player of the Millennium, Hilal-e-Imtiaz and ‘Pride of Performance’.
