ISLAMABAD, Feb 13: Minister for Health Mohammad Nasir Khan on Tuesday assured the National Assembly that action would be taken against the health ministry officials allegedly involved in medicine theft.

“The government is fully alert to apprehend such culprits and action has already been taken against a couple of them,” he said while responding to a calling attention notice moved by the opposition members.

MNAs Shamshad Sattar Bachani, Yasmeen Rehman, Dr Azra Fazal, Khursheed Shah and Khalida Mohsin Qureshi had drawn the attention of the minister towards theft of medicines from the federal government organisations and their sale in the open market.—APP
