Trader ‘abducted’ for ransom

TAXILA, Feb 13: A local trader was abducted for Rs2.2 million ransom here in village Lub Thatoo in jurisdiction of Taxila Police station. Police sources said that Fayyaz was abducted when he came out from his house. Later, the abductors demanded a sum of Rs2.2 million for his release.

However, the investigation officer of Taxila Police claimed that the trader was picked up by his former partners over some money dispute and that it was not an abduction case.

Vehicle stolen: A mini truck was stolen from the jurisdiction of Cantonment Police station.

Waheed reported to Police that he had parked his mini truck (Haripur 4059) outside his house. When he came back he found the vehicle missing.
