Asif rescues Sindh Muslim

KARACHI, Feb 11: Sindh Muslim overcame a strong challenge by Baloch Mohammadan to register a 3-2 victory thanks to a Asif Bukhsh match-winner in the KASB soccer league at CDGK Stadium on Sunday.

Ali Hussain slotted home the opening goal for Sindh Muslim in the 31st minute, while Sohail Brohi doubled the lead in the 38th minute.

Ghulam Shabbir of Baloch Mohammadan reduced the margin with a 45th-minute penalty kick, while Tariq Taj restored parity five minutes later.

Asif rescued Sindh Muslim with a strike in the 55th minute.

Two-goal Shakeel helped Hyderi Baloch come from behind to score a 3-2 win over Young Ansari.

While Mohammad Iqbal was on target for the winners in the 20th minute, it was Omar Nawab who netted the leveller in the 30th minute. Young Ansari went 2-1 ahead through Hamid Afridi in the 48th minute before Shakeel found the cage for his first in the 58th minute.

Shakeel completed his double in the 69th minute.

Shahzad Mohammadan defeated Korangi Mohammadan 2-0.

After a barren first half, Sohail Irani opened the account in the 50th minute, while Shahnawaz Khan found the target just two minutes later.
