KARACHI, Feb 11: The Punjabi Pakhtoon Ittehad Pakistan chairman Malik Sikandar Awan criticising an Indian film 'Kabul Express', in which Hazara community was humiliated, said the film reflected traditional anti-Pakistan and anti-Islam mentality of India.
Speaking at a demonstration on Sunday outside the Karachi Press Club against the Indian film, he said as Muslims we had protected sovereignty of our land for over last 200 years.
The PPI leader demanded of the Indian government to immediately ban this film and also asked the Pakistan government to lodge official protest in this regard.
He also demanded of the government to ban CDs of Indian films in the local market.
Mr Awan urged the PEMRA to direct cable operators to stop screening Indian films.
He warned if shopkeepers at Rainbow Centre did not stop selling such anti-Pakistan and anti-Islam movies, the Punjabi Pakhtoon Ittehad would be compelled to besiege it.
He condemned double standards of India and termed it main hurdle in establishing peaceful and friendly relations between the two countries.—PPI
