Aamir Atlas disappoints


KARACHI, Feb 10: Second seed Karim Darwish of Egypt trounced Pakistan’s Aamir Atlas Khan in straight sets on Saturday to qualify for semi-finals of the Swedish Open squash championship at Likoping, Sweden.

According to the details of the US$31,250 event, the 16-year-old offered no resistance and went down easily with score of 5-11, 2-11, 8-11.

Meanwhile, another quarter-final match between David Palmer of Australia and England’s Alister Walker witnessed fierce fighting as No7 seed Walker gave the top seed tough time before losing the match.

Palmer will face Finland's Olli Tuominen while Karim Darwish lock horns with Alex Gough in the semi-finals.

Results (men's quarter-finals):
