KARACHI: Shopping centres closed

KARACHI, Feb 10: Commercial and educational activities in the constituency of NA 250 experienced a lull due to the polling which started at 8 am and continued till 5 o’clock in the evening without break.

The educational institutions including schools and colleges were already closed by the government to set up polling stations.

The main markets and shopping centres like Gulf Shopping Mall located at Teen Talwar were closed. The main commercial area located at Khayaban-e-Itthad was functioning normally where a normal activity was seen at one of the polling station was witnessed.

In Saddar area the Electronic Market wore a deserted looked as all the shops comprising of cell phones and other electronic market were closed since morning.

Similarly, the shops in Regal area were also closed, however, by evening some shops had opened up for business.
