KARACHI, Feb 10: Five ships carrying containers, steel and to load rice are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships were berthed. They are: Al-Marwah, an oil tanker, Iran Baabaei Gallant Wave, Y.M. Energy, Kuo Chang and Nordwoge, to unload and load containers and Lihai to offload and load general cargo.

Sailing was active as seven ships, Oel Patriot, Eric G. Gibson, Kota Merdesa, Tasmina, Gemini, D.D. Vigor and Al-Marwah departed, while Iran Baabaei, Gallant Wave, Kuo Chamg, Nordwoge, Global Prosperity, Breezy Victoria, and Bolan are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest owing to lesser handling of liquid tonnage, totaling 44,746 tons. Export tonnage of 16,192 tons comprising 1,889 tons of rice and 10,178 tons of clinkers and import tonnage amounted to 28,554 tons.

The following ships are due on Sunday; Mol Ability, Oel Esteem, Athos-1, with containers, Sansan to load 7,500 tons of rice and Golden Win, with steel cargo.

The following ships are due on Monday: Swat, with crude oil and Kota Permal, with containers.
