LONDON, Feb 9: As a bitter debate whether the UK has become a police state for the Muslims continued to rage here, three of the nine British nationals of Pakistani origin, arrested last week and charged with plotting to kidnap and kill Muslim soldiers in the British Army, were remanded in custody on Friday to appear at London's Old Bailey on Feb 23.
Parviz Khan, 36, who appeared at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court along with four others, alone is charged under the Terrorism Act 2006 with committing the offence between November 2006 and January 2007. The other four are accused of supplying equipment and funding for a terrorist act between March 30 last year and January 31, this year.
