‘No politics in universities’

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Feb 9: The Joint Council of Vice-Chancellors of Balochistan has decided not to allow political activities in universities.

The council with the Chancellor of universities and Governor Balochistan, Owais Ahmed Ghani in the chair reviewed the overall situation in universities.

"Political activities will not be allowed at any cost," said the governor and further directed to take strict measures for banning politics in educational institutions. He asked the VCs to implement administrative and financial regulations and make sure that the development funds were utilised properly. The meeting decided to link universities electronically and provide video conferencing facility.
