On Friday, police received information about the body of a girl in the fields outside the village. The body was later identified as that of Robina.

Police suspected that she was shot dead after rape.

PROTEST: Hundreds of villagers staged a protest demonstration on Friday against police for the arrest of two police officials and others who shot dead a man last week over old enmity near Steel Bagh Morr on Ferozepur Road and blocked traffic for about an hour by burning old tyres.

About 150 residents of Ghadokey, led by Kundan Khan, the father of the victim Jamil Ahmad, blocked the road from about 12:05 pm to 1pm and chanted slogans against ASI Shahbaz, SI Shahid and five others. They claimed that police willfully avoided arresting their colleagues.

They dispersed peacefully on the assurance of Saddar DSP that the killers would be arrested.
