Four killed as bus overturns

HYDERABAD, Feb 9: Four persons were killed and around 16 injured when a Peshawar-bound bus overturned due to broken tie rod on the Super Highway in the Nooriabad area on Friday, said Motorway police.

The deceased were identified as Amjad Ali, 55, Benazir 35, Saima, 5, and Usman 50. Those injured included Hameedullah, Mir Shahjehan, Sartaj Khan, Naeem, Mohammad Ramzan, Mir Bahadur, Sheer Bahadur, Qazi Rehman and Iftikhar. The bodies and those injured were shifted to Karachi.

GREESH MURDER CASE: The police have disclosed arrest of three more people in the kidnapping-cum-murder case of a Hindu engineer, Greesh Kumar, on Friday.

Their remand would be obtained o Saturday from the anti-terrorism court and judicial magistrate, Kotri.

Maulana Mohammad Ali of the Darul Huda Tahfeez-ul-Quran, Asghar Ansari and Javed have been shown arrested n the kidnapping case registered with the Hyderabad police and the police encounter case lodged at the Kotri police. The three accused had been in police custody.
