KARACHI, Feb 9: Eight ships carrying crude oil, containers and to load rice and clinkers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Eric G. Gibson, Kota Merdesa to unload and load containers, Al-Dagakah to unload phosphate and Star-1, a tanker, were berthed after the departure of as many.
The ships, which departed included Corin Thaikos, Hyundai Future, Splandour and Red Sea Spirit, while Eric G. Gibson, Yasmina, Kota Merdesa, Oel Patriot, D.D. Vigor, Kerasia-S, Gemini, Star-1 and Iran Baahaei are due to sail out on Saturday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest falling to 64,129 tons comprising 30,319 tons of export cargo including 2,387 tons of rice and 15,225 tons of clinkers and 33,810 tons of import cargo.
The following ships are due on Saturday: Anaan to load 7,800 tons of rice, Naney to load 32,000 tons of clinkers, Johar with crude oil, Oriental Rose with aviation gases, Kuo Cheng, Nordwoge, Y.M. Energy and Global Prosperity with containers.
